A romantic journey through the bold and experimental world of the (anti)classical music series 19’40”. Founders Enrico Gabrielli, Sebastiano De Gennaro, and Francesco Fusaro, together with conductor Marcello Corti, recount their work in an on-the-road documentary that combines live performances, studio recordings, and daring journeys across Italy. Moving from the charm of video game soundtracks to the sophistication of graphic notation, from the poetry of French chanson to the elegance of classical music, Asfalto che suona is an exploration of a musical journey without boundaries of genre or style.
FRANCESCO FUSARO, NTS Radio resident and co-founder of 19'40”, is an author and curator working across cinema and music. With Asphalt That Sounds, he contributes to a project exploring the relationship between sound, territory and urban identity, presented in independent and festival contexts.
