Villa Lontana, Records Arcangeli

5 february 2026
Listening session

Arcangeli is a live listening session by Villa Lontana Records, presented as a flow of voices and sounds that recall the many emotions the city of Rome has impressed upon the artists who have passed through it, from 1950 to the present day. The composition weaves together excerpts from interviews and environmental recordings with archival material from Villa Lontana, in a montage of overlaps and audio manipulations that evoke the scent of a plural and countless Rome. What emerges is an acoustic landscape in which different languages, repulsions, passions, and characters enter into dialogue, generating a counter-narrative of the city’s identity. The sonic journey simultaneously embraces irony and critique, exploring dimensions where the intensity of Rome becomes almost indistinguishable from love itself. The cut-up is created by Michele Ferrari with the participation of: Aphex Twin, Ulisse Benedetti, Carmelo Bene, Laura Betti, Sylvano Bussotti, Simone Carella, Gino de Dominicis, Lory D, Plinio De Martiis, Elchiem Errifra, Federico Fellini, Marcia Hafif, Ange Halliwell, Jannis Kounellis, Sergio Leone, Alberto Moravia, Elio Pagliarini, Mario Schifano, Gerardo “Gerry” Sperandini, Vittoria Totale, Nyla van Ingen, Idarella, and the women of Trastevere.

The event will take place in the first-floor room dedicated to UNAROMA LIVE.
Free admission until capacity is reached.

From February 6 to 11, the trace of the intervention produced by Villa Lontana Records will be on view within the exhibition space.
