Holly, 28, has always thought she was the wrong version of herself and that her life hasn't turned out the way it should have. When she meets a little girl named Arabella, she becomes convinced that she has found her younger self. Determined to run away from home, the little girl hides her identity and indulges Holly's desire to go back in time and become someone special.
CAROLINA CAVALLI was born in Milan and is a screenwriter and director. In 2017, she received the San Francisco Film Society Kenneth Rainin Grant for screenwriting and won the Solinas Award for TV series. Her first feature film, Amanda (2022), debuted at the Venice Film Festival in the Orizzonti Extra section and at the Toronto International Film Festival. Cavalli, together with director Babak Jalali, is the screenwriter of Fremont (2023), a feature film that premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. With Fremont, Cavalli was nominated for the British Independent Film Awards and won the John Cassavetes Award at the Independent Spirit Awards.
BENEDETTA PORCAROLI was born in Rome in 1998. She made her acting debut on television with the series Tutto può succedere (2015–2018). In 2016 she appeared in her first feature film, Perfect Strangers by Paolo Genovese. She has since moved between cinema and television, appearing in projects such as Baby (Netflix), All My Nights by Manfredi Lucibello – which earned her the Guglielmo Biraghi Award at the 2019 Nastri d’Argento – 18 Gifts by Francesco Amato, and The Catholic School by Stefano Mordini, presented at the Venice Film Festival. In 2022 she starred in Amanda, the debut feature by Carolina Cavalli, presented at Venice (Orizzonti Extra) and the Toronto International Film Festival. Her recent work includes The Hummingbird by Francesca Archibugi and Enea by Pietro Castellitto, presented in competition at Venice 2023. In 2024 she starred in Vangelo secondo Maria by Paolo Zucca and in the international horror film Immaculate, which premiered at SXSW. She currently stars in the Netflix global series The Leopard and will next appear in Carolina Cavalli’s upcoming film The Kidnapping of Arabella.
