The Hungarian Academy in Rome has been hosting Hungarian artists in the city since 1927. Founded by Tibor Gerevich, the Academy’s first director, the main goals of the "Roman School" were to offer Hungarian artists the opportunity to engage with ancient culture and interact with contemporary Italian art. This presentation features a selection of works by grant recipients from the past 20 years, with particular focus on pieces that specifically reflect on the city of Rome
