Rome premiere of the award-winning documentary on Yuima Nakazato, Dust to Dust (2024) by Kosai Sekine
Renowned Japanese fashion designer Yuima Nakazato is a leading figure in the ethical manufacturing movement. As the second Japanese designer ever invited to Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week, Nakazato is committed to merging his artistic vision with sustainable, environmentally conscious technologies. Kosai Sekine’s film Dust to Dust traces his journey toward socially responsible fashion, following the designer from Kenyan landfills to the Paris runway to examine the environmental impact of textile waste. The documentary highlights this process and features the development of the innovative, sustainable materials created for his Paris Haute Couture presentation of the Inherit collection. Through his ethereal designs, Yuima Nakazato offers a radical reinterpretation of the fashion industry, emphasizing a future in which creativity and care for the world go hand in hand.
