Marieke Stolk, Erwin Brinkers and Danny van den Dungen, founders of the graphic design studio Experimental Jetset, protagonists of the exhibition AUTONOMIARTEPOVERARCHIZOOMEMPHISUPERSTUDIOPERAISMO, will meet the public on the occasion of a new event of A Story, the AGORA format that invites artists to present their own personal “art history” to rethink the classical structure of the artist talk: the interests, influences and imagination of the artist will emerge through a selection of images, sound pieces and videos.
In this particular lecture, Experimental Jetset will trace the role that musical subcultures have played on their work, starting with the ten specific pop songs that have most influenced them such as Helter Skelter by The Beatles or Summertime by The Zombies. Using them as a graphic interface, Experimental Jetset will try to show how their work is ultimately influenced and informed by certain bands, groups, collectives, and subcultural movements.
The event will take place in the auditorium.
Free entry until seating capacity is reached.
