The New Avant-gardes turns its gaze to the past and present of contemporary Italian culture. In Retrofuture, the works of a new generation of Italian artists are grafted onto the wallpaper composed of images from MACRO’s collection, taken by the photographer Giovanna Silva. In Polyphony, the works created for the occasion by Anna Franceschini, Rä di Martino and Emiliano Maggi are combined with commentaries and archival materials reinterpreted in the form of video by Vega to present the work of Simone Carella.

Every Wednesday and Friday afternoons, the members of our team will take you into the exhibition rooms of the museum, guiding you through the exhibitions from their point of view.
The exhibition tours are grouped thematically and will last approximately 45 minutes.
To ensure your safety and that of the museum staff, and in accordance with governmental and regional provisions taken against COVID-19, the group cannot exceed 8 people.
Reservation is mandatory. Due to the limited capacity we recommend to book in advance.
To book your place in the guided tour write to: edu@museomacro.it
Don’t forget to book your free entrance to the museum here too!
The activity is free of charge.
Please arrive at the museum 15 minutes before the booking time. The meeting place for the tour will be in the museum’s foyer, near the entrance to AGORA.
