ROME CAPODARTE 2025
1st January 2025, from 4 pm to 8 pm

The MACRO starts the new year with Rome Capodarte 2025, the New Year’s celebration of Roma Capitale. Concerts, guided tours, performances, talks, and activities for all ages will animate museums, municipal libraries, theaters, cinemas, and other cultural venues, exceptionally open for the occasion, until the evening.

The museum will welcome the public from 4 pm to 8 pm, with free admission.

4.30 pm – 6.00 pm

The Department for Preventive Education, in collaboration with “Senza titolo,” will present a participatory guided tour to engage visitors in a unique journey through the exhibition Post Scriptum. A museum forgotten by heart.

What does it mean to “forget to remember”? How can imagination serve as our compass to explore the museum and venture into contemporary art?

Through a participatory guided tour and an engaging writing and drawing activity, adults and children will delve into the exhibition Post Scriptum. A museum forgotten by heart. We will encounter works to touch, listen to, peek at, and walk through, imagining thoughts and words to gather into original letters for the museum.

4 pm – 7 pm

On the occasion of Capodarte 2025, a limited series of artisanal cookies will be available at the ticket office at the museum entrance. Each cookie will come with brief messages from the artists featured in the exhibition Post Scriptum. A museum forgotten by heart. A gift that also serves as a memento: a Post Post Scriptum, ideally replicable ad infinitum, marking the symbolic epilogue of the collective exhibition that concludes the programming of the Museum for Preventive Imagination.

Roma Capodarte 2025 Città nel Mondo is promoted by Roma Capitale, Assessorato alla Cultura, with coordination by Department of Cultural Activities.

The guided tour is free of charge, subject to availability, and is open to people aged 7 to 99. Children under 7 must be accompanied by their parents.
