Buffalo returns to MACRO on June 10th and 11th for its third edition, curated by Michele Di Stefano. The museum’s spaces will welcome live art with a new exploration of intersecting boundaries in artistic practices. The body and its capacity to activate original collaborations and trajectories is at the center of this investigation, which brings together forms of expression and formats with events expanding to the Terme di Diocleziano-Museo Nazionale Romano and Villa Medici.

The duo Calderoni/Caleo presents the utopic and tangible potential of brotherhood, without rules. Sorour Darabi responds to his/her personal adaptation of the French language with a solo performance. Eszter Salamon explores the mother-daughter relationship through a cohabitation and reconfiguration of bodies. Kinkhaleri proves the centrality of the body in contemporary thinking. Silvia Rampelli presents an original piece, a clear landscape for the sighting of the being. The Collettivo C.G.J. returns with a choreographed “circuit” (or rather, a short-circuit). Sara Sguotti and Steve Pepe will dedicate a dance concert to the beyond – a beyond which is actually very close (intimacy?). Fabrice Mazliah, a collaborator of the Forsythe Company, presents for the first time in Italy the first part of an intense series of duets between a human body and a non-human one. Video works by Salvatore Insana and Silvia Cignoli, Dewey Dell and Cindy Van Acker will be on view.

Thanks to the complicity of the Istituto Svizzero, Mattatoio | Prender-si cura, Attraversamenti Multipli and the Accademia di Roma.
