VISITOR GUIDELINES

Visitors may access the exhibition spaces up to half an hour before MACRO’s closing time. It is neither possible to enter the building nor use its services.

Visitors may use their mobile phones to consult applications during their visit to the exhibitions, but if they do so, they must make sure that all sound is turned off to avoid disturbing other visitors. No electronic devices may be used for making phone calls, taking photographs with flash or recording video footage.

Visitors may move freely inside the building, its exhibition spaces and its commercial services, taking care not to disturb or endanger artworks and/or other visitors by permitting general transit.

Animals of any size or kind are not allowed inside the museum. Assistance dogs and any other emotional support animals entering with a certificate issued by a mental health professional are always excluded from access restrictions.

Visitors may move freely within the exhibition spaces but they must take care to stay at least one metre away from the artworks and avoid touching display cases and any other exhibition elements. It is possible to take notes and draw, avoiding, however, the use of fountain pens and felt pens, which could damage the works on display.

No food or drink may be consumed inside the exhibition spaces or nearby areas. Smoking is not permitted inside the museum.

In order to take professional photos and videos and to deliver promotional materials, it is necessary to request authorisation from Azienda Speciale Palaexpo.

A closed-circuit TV (CCTV) system is in operation inside the building for security purposes.
