SUB–SURVEILLANCE PRACTICES
Workshop by Irene Fenara

16 and 17 December 2021, from 4 pm to 7 pm
#Workshop

The Department for Preventive Education continues its workshops created by the artists exhibiting in RETROFUTURE with a two-day workshop by Irene Fenara.

The workshop, which will investigate the relationship between image, identity and surveillance systems, is for teenagers between the ages of 14 and 19.

Taking as a starting point the meaning of the terms sub-surveillance and surveillance, we will create photographs and videos within the museum spaces. And perform our identities, which will be characterised by a chosen  costume or uniform represent ourselves in front of the eye of the surveillance camera.

The activity is free of charge and is limited to a maximum of 12 participants.

To take part, please send an email by 8 p.m. on Thursday 9 December to edu@museomacro.it with the subject “Sub-surveillance Practices”, attaching in the email an image of your choice (this can also be downloaded online) of something that makes you think of the word “surveillance”.
