Museo per l’Immaginazione Preventiva – EDITORIALE is the exhibition-manifesto that has reopened the MACRO and introduced the curatorial work of the new artistic director Luca Lo Pinto. Through the exhibited works, called to anticipate the themes that develop in a three-year program, the exhibition has opened a wider reflection on the identity of the contemporary museum institution, inviting the visitor to be guided by the questions and visions of the artists.

The volume EDITORIALE collects the voices of ten of the most important contemporary Italian writers – Emanuele Trevi, Valerio Magrelli, Veronica Raimo, Ivan Carozzi, Nadia Terranova, Igiaba Scego, Alessandro Lolli, Elena Stancanelli, Francesco Pacifico, Chiara Valerio – who translated their visit to the exhibition into narration and imagined further dialogues with the exhibited works. The book, deliberately devoid of images, returns the exhibition exclusively through the word.

I invited Nicola Pecoraro, artist and creator of my avatar, to curate this special episode.
