Each Other Again
Workshop curated by The Boys and Kifer
On the occasion of the exhibition In First Person Plural, the Department of Preventive Education invites The Boys and Kifer to conduct four days of workshops aimed at people of all ages.
Each Other Again is a performance platform conceived by The Boys and Kifer – a music band and collective that operates on the border between the worlds of art and music – with the intention of imagining new community devices marked by horizontal exchange and fragmentation of the creative process.
At MACRO, workshop participants will have the opportunity to become part of the band by immersing themselves in four days of rehearsals and playful activities; they will be able to learn or teach how to play an instrument, create masks and take part not only in recording the songs played during the days but also in organizing the final moment of restitution open to the public.
The goal of The Boys and Kifer is to create a diverse community made up of people who are eager to learn something new and get involved: those who teach guitar can learn to sew, those who learn to play drums can teach singing.
Each Other Again will take place inside the Department for Preventive Education from Monday 3 July, to Thursday 6 July 2023. All participants are asked to attend Monday from 3 pm to 7 pm, from Tuesday to Thursday from 12 pm to 7 pm (with the possibility of more flexible arrangements). A final workshop return will be held on Thursday evening from 6 pm to 8 pm.
The activity is free of charge. To partecipate you will need to send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org by 30 June 2023 at 12.00 pm with the subject line “NAME_COGNOME_Each Other Again” attaching the completed form.
